I’m still out here in the middle of nowhere.
The real kick in the balls was how sick I got within 24 hours of arriving. I boarded a plane while it was 50* out… landed where it’s nearly 100*, and I catch a cold.
Go figure.
Sightseeing for the most part has been uneventful.

A good friend of mine (and his lovely girlfriend) are attempting something that simultaneously makes me respect him and question his sanity.
He’s taking a leave of absence from work to hike the Appalachian Trail.
They have even been stocking up and outfitting themselves with all the appropriate gear.
